Cable provider Cox Communications has reached retransmission consent agreements with both LIN TV and Belo.
The Belo deal covers analog and HD signals, as well as local cable news channels, in Phoenix, Arizona; Hampton/Norfolk, Virginia; New Orleans, Louisiana; Tucson, Arizona; and Twin Falls, Idaho. The agreement covers systems reaching 1.4 million subscribers, and provides Cox with locally produced content for video-on-demand from Belo stations.
LIN TV and Cox have also reached a similar retransmission consent agreement for both analog and HD plus LIN TV’s locally produced on-demand content. Viewers in Hartford, Connecticut, and Florida’s Gulf Coast will have a new “Local Weather Station” featuring their respective stations’ meteorologists delivering local weather updates.
