Chyron Partners With OCTOPUS Newsroom System

Chyron has announced a technology partnership with OCTOPUS Newsroom System that bolsters Chyron’s CAMIO news graphic management solution by adding the OCTOPUS Newsroom System. The combination increases journalists’ control over the look and delivery of newsroom graphics.

“Following a successful testing period we are very happy to announce this newsroom integration with Chyron. CAMIO is a sophisticated interface and the strong Chyron brand compliments the OCTOPUS philosophy of delivering news anytime, anywhere,” commented Jan Pulpan, CTO of OCTOPUS Newsroom.

CAMIO lets graphic designers build and upload assets once only. The assets are then made available to all output devices and newsroom clients. Using the LUCI Newsroom Client ActiveX, journalists can remotely browse templates, edit text and image files, and insert them into stories directly from within the OCTOPUS newsroom.

“We are delighted to announce this latest extension to the CAMIO system. The OCTOPUS Newsroom System is a popular choice across Europe and with this integration we look forward to bringing the creative flexibility and speed to air that CAMIO provides to the OCTOPUS user base”, said David Ward, VP and general manager, Chyron EAME.
