CBS Goes With Accom's Video Production Server

CBS has purchased an Accom ProServ MX.8 HD/SD video production server with EasyClip. The system is configured with four symmetrical HD video channels and eight tracks of uncompressed audio per video channel, and a total of 54 hours of HD storage for stills and clips.

CBS will be using the ProServ MX.8 in a very famous studio located in midtown Manhattan which was used to first introduce the Beatles to America in the '60s. That studio's production control room is being entirely renovated and converted to HD.

In addition to ProServ MX.8, CBS's new HD control room is also equipped with a dual-twin Dveous/MX as their digital video effects system of choice.
