TVB Contributor Jeffrey Ulrich Named Cox Director of Digital Sales

Cox Television in Atlanta has appointed Jeffrey Ulrich to the newly created position of director of digital sales. Effective immediately, Ulrich will provide leadership for Internet and multiplatform sales and report to vice president of sales, Jane Williams.

Ulrich“s sales career includes 14 years of executing traditional and multiplatform advertising campaigns specializing in online content sponsorships, pre-roll video, rich media ads and digital multicast TV channels. Prior to joining Cox, Ulrich served as local sales manager at Atlanta“s WGCL-TV, where his multiplatform campaign for the Spinal Decompression Centers of Georgia was recognized by broadcast industry consultant Noll & Associates as a 2007 finalist in their Award of Excellence national competition.

Earlier, he held sales and management positions at WHEC-TV and WROC-TV in Rochester, N.Y. While at WHEC-TV, Ulrich led the effort towards securing multi-year sponsorships of both the station“s streaming video content and its bi-annual local tie-in with NBCOlympics.com.

Ulrich has also worked for WTVH-TV in Syracuse, N.Y., where he designed the layout and content structure for the station“s first Web site. Continuing his emphasis on holding client-sponsored public forums, he created a new promotional angle by utilizing the station“s news talent at these events to help educate viewers about the station“s evolving online efforts.

Since 2002, Ulrich has been a regular contributor to a number of industry trade magazines, including Digital TV and Sports TV Production, and is now a monthly columnist for Television Broadcast. Ulrich earned a degree in Speech Communications at the State University of New York at Geneseo.
