Audio Conference Premiere at AES Convention

The Audio Engineering Society will introduce a dedicated, four-day Broadcast Audio Conference to its 123rd AES Convention at New York's Jacob Javits Convention Center, Oct. 5-8.

"The broadcast audio community warrants a dedicated technical event providing expert sessions, tutorials and workshops which address changes in their business and technical environment," said AES Executive Director Roger Furness.

Building on his 19 years as AES Broadcast Chair David Bialik is assembling a line up of experts for the four-day program.

Highlights include "A Loudness Workshop" with Emil Torick; a two-part "Considerations For Facility Design Panel," which includes a "Facility Wiring and Distribution Systems for TV & Radio" session; and an "Audio Processing for HD (TV & Radio)" panel.

"We are the only Broadcast Conference 100 percent oriented to engineers, production and technical staff rather than sales and management," Bialik said. Over 2,000 broadcast audio professionals attended the 2005 and 2006 AES Conventions in New York and San Francisco, the largest single meetings of television and radio audio experts in the world.
