Telestream and Matrox Product Collaboration Announced at IBC
The Matrox Video Products Group recently announced an added benefit of their MAX technology at this year’s IBC Show.

When combined with Telestream’s Episode Encoder desktop application for Macintosh computers, H.264 encoding times are greatly reduced, to even quicker than real-time.

According to Telestream, an 8-core Mac Pro pulling from a XDCAM HD source can typically create a 20-minute H.264 file in 41 minutes. When Matrox MAX is added to the mix, the process time is reduced to 16 minutes.

Matrox’s MAX hardware technology can be found on the CompressHD accelerator card and MXO2 array of I/O products.
