Tandberg Television Showcases Encoding Technologies
Tandberg Television showcased its encoding technologies for IP television at the Telco TV show in Orlando, Fla. this week.

Tandberg Television demonstrated its encoding technologies for SD and HD MPEG-4 AVC and Windows Media Series as well as its E5710 MPEG-2 encoder.

The company has been busy in the international market. It recently obtained IPTV contracts with PCCW in Hong Kong and Sistema in Russia. Additionally, several vendors--Broadcom Technologies, Equator and Texas Instruments--are performing interoperability testing with the company's encoding platforms.

Microsoft has become an encoding partner, and Tandberg Television has integrated its technologies with the Microsoft IPTV platform
