Tandberg Television Plans Cable Products Debut
Tandberg Television, part of the Ericsson Group, is planning to pull the wraps from two new cable industry products. The first is a device-aware back office for multiplatform television which supports content delivery across any platform to any device. It is designed to expand on-demand services revenue and to enhance subscriber relationships with cable operators.

The company will also show its OpenStream Digital Services Platform that features new device awareness capabilities and enable support of video-on-demand deployment with both legacy MPEG-2 set top boxes and newer MPEG-4 AVC-capable units. The system allows a subscriber to pause playback on one device such as a personal computer and then resume playback on a conventional TV set or mobile phone.

Ericsson/Tandberg Television will be at stand 1.D61.
