T-VIPS to Show Intelligent Video Transport
Norwegian technology company T-VIPS, will showcase its range of intelligent backhaul and distribution solutions at NAB.

Demonstrations will include the T-VIPS Video Gateways for sports and news backhaul over IP and ASI video distribution. This range includes T-VIPS’ JPEG2000 backhaul solutions, the TVG415 and TVG430. The T-VIPS demonstrations will include additional features introduced for the U.S. market and the T-VIPS regional adaptation solutions for digital terrestrial broadcasting.

T-VIPS’ Video Gateways are advanced solutions for the backhaul of HD and SD video over IP and ASI networks. The range includes TVG410 for backhaul of uncompressed SDI over IP networks, TVG415 for standard-definition backhaul utilizing JPEG2000, TVG420 for MPEG-2 transport streams over gigabit Ethernet links, and TVG430 for high-definition backhaul utilizing JPEG2000.

Also on show is the T-VIPS cProcessor range of transport stream processors, multiplexers, redundancy switches and the T-VIPS Connect management solution. The cProcessor range has already won a number of major contracts for the regionalization of terrestrial networks as part of Europe’s digital switchover projects.

“Following our new innovations and features, such as Forward Error Correction and ASI interfaces, our JPEG2000 video gateway solutions are now optimized for the U.S. video backhaul market,” said Janne T. Morstøl, president of T-VIPS America Inc.
