Studio Technologies Rolls Out Surround Monitor

At the NAB Show, Studio Technologies will introduce a new product in the company’s line of audio gear for broadcasters—the StudioComm 76DB77B surround monitoring system. It’s designed for master control applications using digital input monitor speakers and features a built-in digital delay of up to 340 ms to compensate for any processing delays in the associated video path.

The StudioComm 76DB77B also provides convenient control of all surround monitoring functions, with operator adjustment capability for source selection, downmix, channel solo, level adjustment and other parameters. The monitoring system supports multiple monitoring locations within a room with the use of up to four additional control consoles.

Studio Technologies also plans to introduce a companion monitoring system—the 76D/77 for recording and post-production applications.
