Streambox Unveils New Video Transport

IP-based video solutions provider Streambox recently announced the release of their SBT3-9300 video transport system.

The next-generation system can capture and encode full-motion, full-frame SD and 1080i/720p HD content, all while operating within the confines of a 1RU space.

Streambox CEO Bob Hildeman called the SBT3-9300 a “true hybrid solution” offering HD capabilities at an SD cost. Organizations can operate at a low-cost, low-bandwidth SD level and then “upgrade” to HD without the cost.

Features include HD data transmission rates ranging from 512 Kbps to 30 Mbps, SD rates from 64 Kbps to 15 Mbps, HD/SD digital and analog input and output formats and a Web interface allowing system control from any computer connected to the network.
