Snell & Wilcox Catches a Wave With Kahuna
At NAB Snell & Wilcox --manufacturer of small-to-midsized production switchers-- is moving toward the big leagues with its new Kahuna HD/SD switcher. Kahuna is a large production switcher available with up to four mix/effect busses. Perhaps its most interesting feature is that it can mix SD and HD signals on the same bus, automatically converting between standards with no additional equipment. The Kahuna is available with up to four two-channel DVEs.

Also new from Snell & Wilcox are several new modules in the company's IQ Modular line. These include the IQDEC00 decoder, synchronizer and audio embedder with noise reduction, as well as the IQBRK00 digital audio breakout decoder that disembeds two digital audio streams and then re-embeds them after the signal has been processed or adjusted.

Snell & Wilcox will be in Booth SU6349.
