Ross Adds More Functionality to Synergy Production Switchers
Ross Video Ltd. will showcase its Synergy MD/X multidefinition production switchers at IBC2006.

Synergy MD/X offers 525 and 625 SD operation, 720p, 1080i and 1080psf HD modes and curvilinear effects from the MD WARP engine. With Squeeze and Tease 3D, "Just-Like-A-Wipe" transitions are added, making it simple to perform background transitions. The Synergy MD/X also provides users with "SmartConversion," which enables mixed format sources to be used in everyday production without external format translation.

Ross is also featuring the company's OverDrive Production Control system, which provides operational efficiencies for news, sports, and live event productions. The latest release adds MOS interfacing for many graphics systems including Avid Deko, Chyron Duet, Harris Inscriber and Vizrt products.

Ross will also display its new line of OpenGear "open standard" module frames which accommodate cards from Ross, as well as those from other manufacturers. The 2 RU frames feature independent rear modules and a fixed 100-BNC rear connector panel. The frames can accommodate up to 10 cards performing a vide variety of functions.

Ross Video Ltd. will be in Stand 9.430.
