Pro-Bel to Introduce Morpheus ICE
At NAB, Pro-Bel will launch Morpheus ICE (Integrated Content Engine), a standalone automation and master control system in one 3U box. Based on the Morpheus automation and play-out technology that includes the Media Ball solution for secondary event management, Morpheus ICE can support a single-channel service as well as multichannel services by linking ICE units together.

ICE supports diverse SD and HD video file formats, so no transcoding is needed. ICE further offers about 1 TB of internal RAID storage with about 100 hours of DV25 devoted to caching media for play-out. External Network Attached Storage is available, too.

The mixer in each ICE unit applies Pro-Bel’s master control technology with four external video inputs for live sources while simultaneously allowing fades, mixes and wipes from internal sources. ICE can control an external Pro-Bel router for selecting additional sources. ICE manages audio voiceovers using either embedded audio or the 16 discrete AES/EBU audio inputs. ICE also can import and store graphical material, such as logos and bugs, then layer the images onto the output stream.

For scheduling, ICE can load, edit and append schedules, either online or offline, with content availability checks performed automatically.

Pro-Bel will be at Booth SU12712.
