New VOD Products From Scientific Atlanta
Atlanta-based Scientific Atlanta recently announced that it has new video-on-demand (VOD) transport cards for the company's Prisma IP multiservice digital transport platform. The new card series promises to provide a low-cost solution for cable operators as they rollout VOD on their networks.

The Prisma IP VOD cards support several industry-standard formats, including Gigabit Ethernet, ASI and SDI. The Prisma IP multiservice digital transport platform lets cable operators provide a variety of video, data and telephone services to both commercial and residential customers; the new Prisma IP VOD cards increase the systems capability for VOD applications.
