New Products from Vistek Acquisition Among Highlights at Pro-Bel Booth
Pro-Bel Ltd., a U.K.-based developer of automation and master control technology, will debut the Cifer standards converter, in addition to other new and upgraded products at NAB2006.

Cifer, a product Pro-Bel inherited from its recent acquisition of Vistek, a U.K.-based developer of signal processing equipment, is a joint development with Digital Vision. The Cifer standards converter can convert between all primary HD standards (regardless of frequency) and any SD standard, as well as from SD to HD or vice versa with practically no loss of picture quality, according to Pro-Bel.

Pro-Bel will also show VALID8, a new HD, 8-channel audio version of Vistek’s VALID (Video and Audio Line-up and Identification) system. Compatible for all SD/HD standards, VALID8 enables a signal to be compressed, recorded, replayed and even standards-converted, then measured for video and audio delay.

Pro-Bel will also introduce Masterpiece, its next generation master control switcher; and MORPHEUS, its next generation automation and media management technology that provides effortless access to media across a facility or facilities.

Pro-Bel Ltd. will be in Booth SU4347.
