Neutrik Presents New Audio Connector Concept
Neutrik USA has introduced a new audio connector that accepts both XLR and 1/4-inch phone plug connectors. The Combo A-Series was designed to provide both economies in both panel space and component purchases.

"The new Combo A-Series accepts two totally different connectors, which can be used independently of each other," said Jim Cowan, president of Neutrik USA. "This new introduction saves precious back-panel real estate and reduces overall manufacturing cost by incorporating two products in one."

The new product is based on the company's A-Series panel cutout, already the smallest available panel-mounted XLR connector. It's available in two versions: a horizontal printed circuit board-mounted receptacle without switching contacts and also a six-pole vertical receptacle.
