Modulus Video to Demo New SD/HD Switchable AVC Encoder
At IBC, Modulus Video will demonstrate its ME2000 family of SD/HD switchable MPEG-4 AVC video 1 RU encoders. The ME2000 offers more than 25 percent reduction in bit-rates while enhancing video quality.

The ME2000 platform, which is now shipping, shares the features of the Modulus Video ME6000 HD IPTV encoding system and supports 1080i and 720p; provides low-res proxies; works with ad-insertion triggers as well as 60 and 50 Hz applications.

Three configurations of the new product family are available--the HD/SD model; an SD platform with optional HD software upgrade to come; and a standalone SD unit. ASI options are available for all systems.

Modulus Video will be in Stand 1.144.
