Media 100 Shipping 844/Xi
Media 100 is now shipping the 844/Xi, the newest member in the 844/X line of editing systems, which targets current users of dual-stream editing systems with new Interoperability Release software and other new features.

The Interoperability Release software includes an 844/X timeline export to Adobe After Effects and supports Photoshop layers. It can process an unlimited number of streams, up to four of which can be in real time (two video and two full-motion alpha), in any combination, without host-based rendering. The 844/Xi can process an unlimited number of streams.

Additional Interoperability Release functions include OMF compatibility with Avid Symphony, Avid Media Composer, Digidesign Pro Tools, Apple Final Cut Pro and Media 100 i.

The 844/Xi's Visual Voicing allows editors to view any two layers in a multi-layer composition, change them and view the changes in real time without processing or rendering.

The 844/Xi is available at a starting price point of $24,995 for Media 100 software and hardware; complete system configurations start at $40,000.
