Leader Measures Up With New LV5700A Waveform Monitor
Leader Electronics recently announced a new version of its popular analog/digital waveform monitor, the LV5700A. In addition to the standard-definition and high-definition SDI capabilities that the original LV5700 has, the "A" version adds analog NTSC and PAL compatibility, and also works with component signals at 525- and 625-line formats.

The Leader LV5700A works with the company's FS3018 lighting monitor for wireless analysis of a camera's image using a PDA, including waveform, color vector and status data. Any point on the screen can be selected on the PDA, which can then be used to adjust lighting or camera shading.

Now available, the LV5700A handles both HD and SD SDI video, and the unit fits into a standard half-rack mount.
