JVC Launches New DV Camcorder
JVC has launched the GY-DV5000E, a 3 x 1/2-inch CCD DV camcorder that can record on both mini-DV and DV format tapes. The camcorder also features an optional network pack fitted to the back of the machine allowing live or file (CF) card streaming, which lets camera settings be adjusted worldwide from a Web browser.

Two new VTRs are now available for the camera: The BR-DV3000, installed horizontally or vertically, can record and play both mini-DV and DV formats; The BR-DV6000 allows the recorder to edit footage, specifically for non-linear editing systems.
