Gefen Releases 2:8 HDTV Splitter
Gefen made available its ex-tend-it 2:8 HD distribution amplifier, which sends one HDTV video source to eight HDTV displays using DVI (digital visual interface) connectors. When used with an HDTV extension system, each display can be extended long distances from the source.

The splitter is HDCP (HD content protection)-compliant, and features two DVI inputs for switching between video sources such as computers, DVD players and satellite set-top boxes. Each source, when selected, distributes up to eight video signals.
