Gefen Extends HD
Gefen recently launched its new KVM extender, CAT5-5000 HD that can extend up to 150 feet.

Using new chip technology, the CAT5-5000 HD sends DVI digital video plus USB over CAT-5 cables.

The units come with two DVI connectors that support the extension of the two digital displays. Other features include a USB port, optional digital audio support and resolutions of up to 1920x1200 are supported. The system is powered by a five-volt power supply. One of the uses of the CAT5-5000 HD is to isolate computer fan noise in a post facility.
