For-A Expands Multiformat Switcher Line
For-A has again expanded its product line of solutions for HD content while accommodating legacy SD equipment.
For-A HVS-5400

At the NAB Show, For-A will unveil its FRC-8000, a multiformat frame-rate converter with a new image processing board for HD and SD format conversion. It offers up/down/cross-conversion among a wide range of formats, plus motion compensation processing.

Several other new For-A products will make their U.S. debut at the NAB Show, including two new switchers. The HVS-5400 is the 4-M/E model of For-A’s flagship digital video switcher that provides native support of 3 Gbps 1080p signals. The HVS-300HS HD/SD Portable Video Switcher is a compact multiformat 1-M/E unit with a built-in multiviewer.

For-A is also demonstrating its FVW-500HS HD/SD Video Writer (formerly named the MBP-100VW), ideal for illustrating sports color commentary or weather and news programs.

Newly introduced multiviewers and quad viewers include the MV-1610HS and MV-410HS, respectively, as well as For-A’s new MBP-100CK HD/SD Chroma Keyer, a compact, standalone unit. Plus, For-A will demonstrate the UFM-30DCC “3G Ready” Modular Digital Color Corrector and UFM-30FS HD/SD Frame Synchronizer.

For-A will demonstrate its switchers in booth SU3507.
