Envivio to Demo Mobile Devices at IBC
At IBC2006, Envivio will showcase a statistical rate control module for broadcast mobile TV networks. This next-gen module leverages the arrival of IP in a network that traditionally used non-IP MPEG-2 transport stream. The demo will illustrate "within a DVB-H environment, the bandwidth optimization and quality gains obtained by the Envivio statistical rate control approach as compared to strict constant bit-rate control," according to the company.

Envivio will also demo its latest products for IP video convergence, as well as a "pre-integrated, interoperable DVB-H" product in the Mobile Zone.

Envivio will be in Stands 1.550/M323/M324.
