DVC Will Present New Budget-priced, Uncompressed HD Servers
DVC (Digitalvideo Computing) will show its new budget-priced uncompressed HD servers, the ClipRecorder XTreme HD and XTreme SAN, at NAB2007.

The ClipRecorder XTreme HD is an uncompressed digital disk recorder and server for recording, storing and replay of HD and SD sequences. It can be used in 4:2:2 (single-link SDI) and in 4:4:4 (dual-link SDI) modes. The unit stores data natively on a standard NTFS file system.

The Cliprecorder XTreme HD supports all common file formats including dpx, cineon, tiff, yuv and Quicktime. The internal disk array consists of 15k SAS disks and has a capacity of 293 GB (up to 1176 GB) or up to 94 minutes of HD in 4:4:4 dpx.

The new ClipRecorder XTreme HD SAN is a 2k/HD I/O Server for SAN installations. Instead of internal disc arrays, the ClipRecorder XTreme HD SAN has a dual-link 4 Gb Fibre Channel interface and can be combined with a SAN such as Bright Systems or DataDirect. For "single user" applications, DVC offers FibreRAID Strorage from AXUS.

Both new models are based on the latest Intel technology with dual-core Xeon processors, 2 GB RAM, a FrontSide-Bus up to 1333 Mhz, dual-GB Ethernet and dual-DVI interface. Both new models have RS-422 master/slave control and emulate all common VTR/DDR Protocols like 9-pin, Louth and Odetics.

DVC will be in booth C8431B.
