Leitch Ships VelocityHD 9.1 with HDV, VariCam
The newest version of the Leitch (now part of the Broadcast Communications Division of Harris ) VelocityHD NLE system is now shipping. Version 9.1 supports HDV, variable frame rate processing for content from the Panasonic VariCam, broadened SDS format support and more.

VelocityHD 9.1 supports IEEE-1394 ingest of both 1080i and 720p material from HDV devices. Other features include format flexibility, including direct timeline support for DV25 material from many tapeless recording devices and DVCPRO25 and DVCPRO50 content from Panasonic P2. The NLE system combines the Altitude hardware platform with the Velocity software interface.

The new version is now available as a free download from the Leitch Web site for all registered VelocityHD users.
