Blackmagic Plans Unveiling of New Mini Converters
Blackmagic Design will be lifting the wraps from three new additions to its Mini Converter line: a unit that de-embeds audio from an SDI video stream, an audio embedder, and a unit that bi-directionally converts between fiber optic cable and SDI. The Mini Converter SDI to Audio is can provide four channels of balanced audio or eight channels of AES/EBU audio and has a looping SDI input for signal connection to other devices. The Mini Converter Audio to SDI device is also equipped with an SDI signal loop-through, and embeds up to four channels of analog balanced audio, or eight channels of AES/EBU audio. Both converters have redundant SDI connections, providing an automatic switchover to a backup source if the main feed is interrupted. The Mini Converter Optical Fiber unit automatically switches between SD, HD and 3 Gbps signals and works with cable runs of up to 25 km when used for high-definition delivery.

Blackmagic will also be showing a range of other products, including additional members of the Mini Converter product set.

Blackmagic will be at stand 7.B21.
