Blackmagic Design Updates DVCPRO Support
Blackmagic Design has announced what the company terms a “major update” for its DeckLink, Multibridge and Intensity Pro capture and playback functionality for DVCPRO HD and DVCPRO 50 formats in connection with Adobe’s Premiere Pro for Windows.

The enhancement will allow users to take advantage of the high quality inherent in DVCPRO HD without the need and expense of acquiring and setting up an expensive disk array.

“Our close development relationship with Adobe has enabled Blackmagic Design to take full advantage of DVCPRO HD’s incredible video quality with Premiere Pro," said Grant Petty, Blackmagic Design’s CEO. “Our customers will love the power of Premiere Pro’s real-time effects combined with the advantages of working with DVCPRO HD. The quality is extremely high and fantastic for online finishing.”

Downloads for the updated DeckLink 7.4 and Intensity 3.4 products are available on the company’s Web site, www.blackmagic.design.com/support/
