BlackMagic Design Deploys DeckLink 4.8 for Mac
The latest version of DeckLink for Mac by video card manufacturer BlackMagic Design is now available.

Version 4.8 offers HD downconversion on capture from HD 1080/23.98p/50i/59.94i video inputs and a Photoshop plug-in that integrates 8- or 16-bit video frame capture and output via Decklink cards.

This version of the software produced by the Victoria, Australia-based company also features 12 channel HD-SDI audio support on DeckLink HD models and enhanced capability with Final Cut Pro HD. The audio output supports the HDCAM SR deck and video hardware, DeckLink Multibridge.

Another new feature, single field pause eliminates flicker when playback is paused, resulting in a cleaner video display because interlace is removed.
