Avid Upgrades NewsCutter With DNA
Avid Technology is now shipping a version 5.0 of its NewsCutter XP featuring Avid's Mojo Digital Nonlinear Accelerator (DNA).

The NewsCutter upgrade features advanced news editing systems, such as quick record and enhanced integration with AP ENPS and Avid iNews. The new version also supports AAF and MXF support, 50 Mbps MPEG IMX along with DV25 and DV50. News professionals can attach the Avid Mojo accelerator to any qualified computer running Newcutter XP 5.0 software with a single FireWire cable and take advantage of DV composite and S-Video I/O as well as true real-time functionality, including output to tape.
