Zaxcom Introduces New Audio Recorder/Mixer

Zaxcom will introduce its new Fusion audio recorder/mixer at IBC2008. The unit replaces multiple mixers and portable recorders and is intended for production of reality-type television shows and EFP/ENG work.

The Fusion is a lightweight and rugged device, with two CompactFlash cards used as recording media instead of a conventional hard drive. Both cards are recorded simultaneously for enhanced reliability.

The mixer side of the Fusion can accommodate up to 16 inputs and has eight output busses for eight-track recording.

The company will also show Deva Mix-8, an eight fader mixing panel that integrates directly with Zaxcom’s Deva IV, V, 5.8, 16 and Fusion audio systems.

Also on display will be Zaxcom’s TRX family of wireless systems for digital recording and the Deva family of hard-disk audio recording/mixing systems.

Zaxcom Inc. will be at Stand 8.D81.
