XOrbit to Demonstrate Content Verification and MPEG Caption Encoding

At NAB, XOrbit will show its new ProofPositive content monitoring system, which can instantly validate the correct delivery of content over the “last mile” of the broadcast chain, from the satellite or cable provider to the viewer’s home. The nonevasive, watermark-free technology monitors programming and commercials to provide real-time notification of dropouts, audio problems and signal preemptions.

The Xilex direct-to-MPEG file caption encoding system eliminates videotape and edit suite requirements. Xilex inserts captions directly into SD, HD and VOD on both program and transport stream MPEG files. The Xilex API allows integration with digital asset management systems.

The RTX remote and live captioning system provides a live video and audio signal directly to stenographers anywhere in the world to help gain accurate caption placement. RTX also provides simultaneous caption data to SD, HD, Web and other encoders with encrypted transmission and authentication protocols not available with standard phone line technologies. RTX allows broadcasters to reuse captioned content immediately to create transcripts for documentation and asset management search engines.

The CaptionSmart automated MPEG encoding service is controlled by the client to automatically embed caption data into MPEG files. The XOrbit Digital Encoding Server Center receives data by the Internet and processes it to predefined specifications. When done, the DESC stores the work and notifies the client.

XOrbit will be at Booth SL6226.
