Tim Robbins to Deliver Opening Keynote at NAB Show

Academy Award-winning actor, screenwriter, director and producer Tim Robbins will deliver the opening keynote speech at the NAB Show on Monday, April 14. Robbins will talk about “The Changing Face of Entertainment” with a focus on the distribution and content creation trends impacting Hollywood and related industries.

After his presentation, Robbins will participate in a moderated question and answer session. Robbins’ keynote will follow the annual State of the Industry Address by NAB President and CEO David K. Rehr.

Robbins’ film acting credits include Clint Eastwood’s “Mystic River,” Michael Winterbottom’s “Code 46,” Jonathan Demme’s “The Truth About Charlie,” Michel Gondry’s “Human Nature,” Robert Altman’s “The Player and Short Cuts,” Frank Darabont’s “The Shawshank Redemption,” The Coen Brothers’ “The Hudsucker Proxy,” Adrian Lyne’s “Jacob’s Ladder” Ron Shelton’s “Bull Durham,” and his own “Bob Roberts.”

Robbins’ acting awards include an Oscar, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award as Best Supporting Actor for “Mystic River,” Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival and a Golden Globe for Best Actor for his role in “The Player.” He was nominated by the Screen Actors Guild for Best Actor for “The Shawshank Redemption” and by the Golden Globes for Best Actor for “Bob Roberts.”

Robbins’s writing, directing and producing credits include “Dead Man Walking.” With his wife, Susan Sarandon, Robbins has won international acclaim for his work as an activist, earning the epithet, “the conscience of Hollywood.”
