Telecast Fiber Systems to Display Range of New Fiber Gear

At NAB, Telecast Fiber will display two new modules that support the openGear terminal equipment platform from Ross Video. The openGear 2 RU modular frame, designed to accommodate up to 10 cards, allows facilities to choose the best technology for their particular applications.

The new CopperHead DLV3X1 camera-mounted fiber-optic HD dual-link video system converts electrical signals to fiber for moving uncompressed 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 signals between the camera head and a recording device over one lightweight, battle-rated fiber optic cable. Replacing three or four coax cables, the DLV3X1 increases signal transmission distances from several hundred feet to as far as nine miles. The compact unit sits between any dual-link 4:4:4 camera and its battery.

The new DiamondBack 4x4 NTSC/PAL Video Multiplexer with Ethernet transmits four broadcast-quality analog video signals in each direction and features additional inputs to accommodate audio, intercom and data signals from the company’s Adder II audio multiplexer line. The unit allows bidirectional analog video and up to 64 audio channels on a single fiber.

Telecast also will introduce its exclusive SuperBooth, a suite of products packaged specifically for demanding mobile applications, such as golf events and other sports coverage. The SuperBooth includes the Telecast Adder II audio, intercom, and data multiplexer; the DiamondBack 4X4 audio and video multiplexer, the Telethon HD/SDI CWDM Mux, and a new dual-redundant AC/DC RackBack power system.

Telecast Fiber Systems will be at Booth SU4227.
