During a Sunday morning press conference Snell & Wilcox announced a slate of new products for established and new video markets.

Looking over the line of new products, Joe Zaller, vice president of marketing for Snell & Wilcox, said, "This is really a significant year at Snell & Wilcox."

Top of the line is Hyperion, an algorithm-based content monitor. Expanding upon traditional hardware-based monitors, Hyperion uses algorithms that mimic human intelligence for monitoring video and audio content and metadata.

According to Zaller, "The amount of information that people are asked to monitor now is overwhelming and errors get transmitted."

Hyperion's algorithms can scan metadata or content for physical errors or harder-to-determine errors such as content that does not match its configuration mismatched soundtracks.

Also shown were the Quasar HDTV upconverter, the latest additions to the Kudos line of broadcast synchronizers and audio options to the Kahuna switcher and Snell & Wilcox's new Helios software product.
