Scopus to Highlight IP Video Headend, HD Encoding Technologies

At IBC2007, Scopus Video Networks will showcase its fully integrated IP video networking headend addressing broadcast, satellite, cable, and telco infrastructures.

The Scopus' IP headend solution provides full IP connectivity between digital headend components, allowing operators to benefit from emerging converged delivery infrastructures, simplify their operations, and enhance their offerings.

At the stand, Scopus will demonstrate the headend's capabilities for terrestrial, cable, and telco operators. These solutions enable users to choose a preferred transmission infrastructure, whether IP, satellite, or both. This demo will also emphasize Scopus' best-of-breed products for each distribution media.

Scopus also will show the new UE-9810 H.264 HD-encoding platform. Featuring ASI and IP outputs for channel redundancy and network support, the UE-9810 offers integrated, multiplexing capabilities for high picture quality at low bit rates. Suitable for contribution and distribution applications, cable TV headends, terrestrial broadcast, IPTV, and DBS applications, the UE-9810 will be available in a DSNG version housing DVB-S/S2 modulation schemes.

Scopus will be in Stand 1.249.
