RF Central Ships RFX-CMT-II Camera Transmitters

Digital microwave technology provider RF Central, part of the Vitec Group of broadcast equipment and services providers, says it is now shipping its RFX-CMT-II camera-mounted transmitter.

With inputs of an HD, SDI or ASI signal, this new product is targeted to live news and sports coverage, offering a variable 6/7/8 MHz modulator, 100 mW power output, and full MPEG menu controlled by the customer. The RFX-CMT-II's linear RF amplification technology limits spectral re-growth at full power to less than -35dBc and exhibits exceptional adjacent channel rejection. The CMT-II is offered in the 2GHz frequency band. Other frequencies are available upon request.

While the RFX-CMT-II format is SD, it is software upgradeable to full high-definition capability and is available to interface with Anton Bauer, IDX, PAG and other batteries (to be specified at time of order) or 11-16 VDC (18 W) via 4-pin Lemo socket.
