Pro-Bel Launches New Router at NAB2007

Pro-Bel of Melville, N.Y. celebrates its 30th anniversary this year by debuting its Cygnus and Morpheus Foundation technologies at NAB2007.

Pro-Bel's new router, Cygnus, is 1080p, 3 GB-native and offers up to 576x576 routing in a single 26 RU housing (including PSUs), with industry standard BNC connectors. There is also a 288x576 18U version. Other features include redundant crosspoints and dual redundant power supplies and controllers, as well as four reference inputs for multistandard operation. This allows for frame accurate switching at the correct point for multistandard operation or simulcast HD/SD.

Morpheus Foundation, announced earlier this year, is Pro-Bel's new entry-level automation system. It offers many of the advanced features of the company's flagship Morpheus system but in a compact and low-cost package suitable for one to six channels.

Pro-Bel will also be demonstrating its latest version of Morpheus Control and Monitoring (MCM); and the new version of Valid8, Pro-Bel's SD/HD infrastructure analysis tool, which now includes a new feature using compact flash memory to allow a user instant recall of up to 64 separate sets of audio and video.

Pro-Bel will be in booth SU8511.
