Pinnacle Systems unleashed CineWave 4 this week, shipping its latest version of the support software for Apple Final Cut Pro 4 with new features not demonstrated at NAB in April.
The system offers real-time, on- and offline film and audio capabilities to Final Cut Pro. Some of the new features are real-time support for DV50, the Animation codec and support for five uncompressed real-time video and graphics tracks.
This is in addition to its already disclosed feature set, including offline support with HD and SD capture into PhotoJPEG, DV25/DV50 and CineOffline; effects for several different sources that can be run separately or in the same timeline, the TARGA Cine Codec for cross-platform flexibility and support for 32-bit floating-point rendering with Final Cut Pro's HDR Image Processing
