Neutrik has introduced an upgraded version of the company’s IP65-rated OpticalCon fiber-optic connector.
The new product features the addition of seals and gaskets to protect against dust ingress and water jets. The new product is 100 percent backward-compatible with existing connectors in the same family.
“With the introduction of our upgraded OpticalCon, we have fine-tuned our technology to offer our consumers the ultimate in weatherproof connections,” Neutrik USA’s president, Jim Cowan, said. “It is designed with all the features of the original, with the added IP65 rating for extreme, weatherproof durability.”
The improved fiber connector can also pass up to four copper circuits and a special SMPTE version, optimized for broadcast applications, is also available.
