NAB: JVC to Webcast Live from Show Floor

JVC is launching a live webcast at the NAB Show called “On Air. On Time. On Budget” from its booth from April 20-23, 10am-4pm. The webcast will provide interactive streaming video access to those who can't attend the show. Each day, it will feature on-the-hour live updates from the floor to include interactive interviews with JVC product managers, customers, strategic partners exhibiting at the show and experts engaged in the broadcast and digital media industries. Industry consultant Limor Schafman, host of several Internet TV programs, will host this JVC NAB 2009 webcast, and it will be available throughout the NAB show at http://www.jvc.com/nab.

Those wishing to participate should be online to test their webcast stream by 9:45 am (PST) each day, April 20-23. Questions can be directed to 703-961-9250, ext. 229 before and during the event. Visitors will be able to post questions to interviewees and participate in Q&A via e-mail, providing a fully interactive forum for sharing information. Interviews and demonstrations will also be archived for a full year.

"The webcast allows us to reach many professionals who have never been to NAB. It gives us a chance to put real human faces to our product with demonstrations from our sales and support staff. Viewers will be able to submit questions via e-mail that can be answered right from the show floor," said Dave Walton, assistant video president, marketing communications, JVC Professional Products Group.

The webcast is being produced by TV Worldwide. “We’ll be using our JVC cameras for the webcast and actually plan to provide one of the case studies for the webcast regarding our work with JVC cameras during the production of PSA’s we produced for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund with actor Tom Selleck and general Colin Powell. We’re expecting a huge crowd on line and we’re provisioning our servers to support this interactive webcast,” commented Dave Gardy, Chairman and CEO of TV Worldwide.
