NAB Hosts Broadcasters Career Fair

The NAB Education Foundation will host this year's broadcasting career fair at NAB2006 in Las Vegas on April 26, where leading broadcasting companies and television and radio stations will take part in recruiting for positions from entry-level to senior management.

Among the companies recruiting at the event are Jefferson-Pilot Communications, Emmis Communications, Bonneville Corp., Clear Channel Radio and Radio One.

The NABEF Career Fair will be held in conjunction with the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) and the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) annual conventions. Career opportunities will be available in sales, news, production, engineering and other areas. Admission is free and open to both registrants and non-registrants of NAB2006.

Space is limited, so job seekers are encouraged to pre-register. Submission deadline for recruiters is April 5. Pre-registration deadline for job seekers is April 12.

The Career Fair is part of NABEF's commitment to promoting diversity in the broadcast workplace. In addition to the Career Fair, NABEF hosts an online Career Center where jobs in broadcasting are posted as well as resumes from qualified applicants interested in radio and television.

"Promoting diversity and advancing opportunities for those interested in pursuing careers in broadcasting is a high priority for the NAB Education Foundation," said NAB President and CEO David Rehr. "The NABEF Career Fair is a 'must-attend' event for both job seekers and job recruiters at NAB2006."
