IBC Names Awards Finalists


(click thumbnail)WPEC-TV in West Palm Beach, Fla. is nominated for installing the industry’s first all-LED TV broadcast studio.The IBC Innovation Awards celebrates the partnership between technology companies and users. First introduced in 2006, the awards have established themselves firmly within the industry especially in proving to be very competitive.

There are three categories of awards: for innovation in content creation, content management and content delivery. The Judges Award will also be rewarded to one of this years short listed projects, which will be announced on the night of the ceremony. This award is entirely in the gift of the judging panel, which rewards technology applications that include the combinations of content creation, management and delivery.

As well as the Innovation Awards, IBC’s other award winners which include the IBC International Honour of Excellence and the awards for best exhibition stands and conference will also be rewarded. All winners will be announced at a special ceremony and champagne reception on Sunday, Sept. 14.

This year’s finalists in the creation category include the world’s first all-light emitting diode (“LED”) television broadcast studio at WPEC TV in Florida and the stereo 3D post production for Walt Disney Pictures’ “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert” film.

As well as the Innovation Awards, IBC’s other award winners which include the IBC International Honour of Excellence and the awards for best exhibition stands and conference will also be rewarded. All winners will be announced at a special ceremony and champagne reception on Sunday, Sept. 14.
