IBC: Grab Networks Launching Anystream Agility 2G in Europe

IBC 2009 will be the venue for the European debut of Anystream Agility 2G, an automated production and management tool for digital video created by Grab Networks.

Anystream Agility 2G lets users quickly transcode, manage and distribute content for broadcast and cable television and IPTV as well as broadband and mobile handheld devices.

It provides up to three times the throughput of previous versions and automated recovery safeguards for mission-critical applications.

Also, in partnership with Digital Vision, Grab Network has included in the solution the ability to perform high-speed, broadcast-quality motion-compensated standards conversion within file-based workflows, providing a critical tool to deliver any format from a broadcast server on demand.

Microsoft VC-1 Internet Information Services 7.0 (IIS7) Smooth Streaming encoding is also included in Agility 2G. When implemented on Microsoft’s Silverlight interactive experiences, users can make 1080p high-definition video available on almost any platform.

Also being shown at IBC will be Anystream Velocity’s Modular Business Workflow and Distribution Connectors, which feature frame-accurate playlist assembly, Agility integration, status monitoring and more to let content providers customize on-demand workflows with options to further automate the creation and distribution of content.

Grab Networks will by at IBC Stand 1.C31.
