EVS Unveils Product Innovations, New Workflow Solutions

EVS is presenting a range of product evolutions and innovations to improve production workflows and integrations at the NAB Show this week.

XT[2] offers native support of post-production HD codecs, including the Avid DNxHD (SMPTE VC-3 compliant) and new Apple ProRes 422 codecs. Media transfer and streaming workflows with Avid and Apple Final Cut Pro are being demonstrated in the EVS booth.

A gigabit Ethernet connection to the XT[2] production server enables the EVS Media Importer plug-in on Final Cut Pro support access to live content from multiple devices. A user can import clips and media on XT[2] production server directly onto the timeline editor. The new XL[2] proxy server for media control and review complements the XT[2] high-res production server.

IPEdit is a new online editing application that offers on-the-fly editing perspectives. Part of the IPDirector content management suite of applications, IPEdit delivers real-time editing functions for speed-to-air workflows.

EditRec on the XT[2] is a new VTR replacement solution for linear editing workflow. Functions include networking, edit while recording, and play-out while editing in the linear suite environment.

Additional product developments and technology innovations for broadcast production and post production will be unveiled at the booth.

“The visitors to the Las Vegas exhibition are invited to witness our open architecture offering unique integration with the most advanced post-production solutions,” said Pierre L’Hoest, CEO of EVS.

EVS is at Booth C4911.
