EVS XS Multi-Format Studio Server

Belgium-based storage company EVS will be demonstrating a number of new products targeting OB, studio and sports production at IBC 2009.

EVS’s new Multicam10 software for users of EVS’s XT[2]-LSM offers full control of Ultra-Motion and Hyper-Motion HD cameras, new Offside Line Creator and add-on graphic tools for the first time on all standard RemoteLSM controllers. Also new is IPEdit, ideal for fast turnaround editing and quick program fixing during live events.

For multi-camera studio production, the new XS multi-format studio server is a 2-/4-channel server for tapeless ingest, production and playout in studios. It supports an extensive variety of acquisition and delivery formats, including a large number of natively supported SD and HD codecs (XS Multi-codec workflow). Also new is INSIO 1.00 multi-camera ingest control for TV shows and drama. INSIO provides immediate control actions, such as review, clip creation, and descriptive metadata inclusion, while offering a unique level of integration with post-production.

For news production, EVS will unveil its new HD/SD branded news and highlights production suite including integration of v.3.0 of EVS nonlinear editor, CleanEditNLE. The new software-centric solution combines all the advantages of a software-based system with multi-format support, third party integration (NRCS, archive, automation, MAM, post-production, ENG file-based camcorders) and control with the highest level of speed and reliability.

Also on display in the EVS booth will be XT2web, a combined Web and broadcast solution that gives broadcasters instant access to remote content located on any XT[2] server for production, review and control; and Live HD 3D Replays, the first ever live HD 3D replay and slow motion solution for the XT[2]-LSM.

EVS will be in Stand 8.B90.
