Enhance Technology Partners with HighPoint Technologies for Next-Gen Storage

Enhance Technology, a developer of storage technologies for broadcast and production, announced recently that it is using RocketRAID series SATA RAID controllers from HighPoint Technologies for its new StorPack series multi-disk backplane.

The Enhance Technology StorPack series is a high density, multi-disk storage backplane that allows multiple 3.5-inch high profile SAS/SATA hard disk drives to be mounted into (2)/(3) standard 5.25-inch drive bay, system/server or external disk array enclosures. It includes push-button removable drive trays, venting and cooling, and built-in security key-locks for S23 & S24. The product line is designed to be conveniently removed or hotswapped as required by user applications, allowing users to add drives or increase capacity.

HighPoint’s RocketRAID 3520 offers two internal mini-SAS connector ports to support up to eight SATA hard drives, while the RocketRAID 3510 offers one internal mini-SAS connector to support up to four SATA hard drives. Advance RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD are supported for performance and data protection. The RocketRAID 2312 is a PCI-Express x4 RAID connector with two internal SATA and two external eSATA connectors for flexible storage connectivity.

HighPoint’s RocketRAID SATA RAID controllers are fully compatible with Enhance Technology multi-disk storage backplanes and will allow users to assemble fully tested and compatible storage solutions that save space and are hotswappable, flexible and easy to configure. The SATA RAID solution targets audio recording, video editing, data intensive computing, on-demand media streaming and RAID implementations for servers and workstations.

Enhance Technology is based in Santa Fe Springs, Calif.; HighPoint Technologies is a Milpitas, Calif.-based supplier of high-performance multichannel SATA RAID solutions.
