Broadcasters Recruiting at NAB Show Career Fair

The NAB Education Foundation will host Career Day at the Hilton Hotel, Wednesday, April 16 at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Sponsored by Emmis Communications, Edge Technology Services and Tandberg, the event gives more than 1,500 students and entry-level job seekers the opportunity to meet with broadcast and media industry professionals.

“This is the largest broadcasting career fair in the country,” said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander. “For job seekers considering opportunities in radio and television, this is a must attend event.”

There will be more than 60 companies in attendance, including Bonneville International, Emmis Communications, Edge Technology, Univision and CBS. The job opportunities will cover openings and internships available in accounting, sales, news, production and engineering. The fair also features a panel session, where job seekers will learn the tools necessary for career advancement in broadcasting.

The fair is held in conjunction with the Broadcast Education Association and the Radio-Television News Directors Association annual conventions.

“The events featured at the career fair will advance job prospects for numerous attendees,” said BEA Executive Director Heather Birks. “This is the perfect forum for future broadcasters to learn every tool possible to succeed in the business.”

The annual career fair is part of NABEF’s commitment to promoting diversity in the broadcast workplace. Admission is open to both registrants and nonregistrants of the NAB Show. For more information, visit the NABEF Web site.
