Blackmagic Updates HDLink

December 3, 2004
Blackmagic Design is releasing its HDLink Utility 1.5 which provides new features for its HDLink DVI monitoring converter.

The utility uploads new firmware to USB-connected HDLink devices. Compatible with both Mac OS X and Windows XP, the new version offers anamorphic 16:9 aspect ratio for SD video, improved lift, gain and gamma controls, allowing for numerical entry. Increase/decrease buttons have been added for fine adjustment. Also, 10-bit gamma tables can be saved to a file for uploading to other HDLink devices.

HDLink connects post production SDI video to any supported DVI-D based LCD computer monitor for true HDTV resolution video monitoring and supports HD-SDI and dual link HD-SDI video formats. HDLink supports both 1080i and 720p.

The Melbourne Australia-based company also recently released its Decklink 4.7 software application for Mac OS.
